I am back to blogging, because that is all that I know to do when I am in this situation. I look at this blog, and I can't believe how far we have come since the last post. We had little Graycen the end of March, moved into our new house the first of April, and have just been enjoying our family of 5.
Our whole world changed yesterday. AJ woke up to an E-mail saying that if one of the three gunnery sergeants did not volunteer for a deployment to the middle east, then he would be voluntold. We of course did not even think that this would be a possibility. He LOVES his job as a police officer, LOVES his boys, and I have NEVER seen him happier. I swear he walks around with a skip in his step all the time. =) All he has wanted to do was to see his son's first year. Something he didn't get to do with the boys. He has bonded so quickly with Graycen and calls him his little monkey. AJ took it pretty hard. I found him in tears at the kitchen counter. That of course did it for me.
So... now we wait until after the holiday weekend to see what happens. I know that it is in God's hands and that where he is going will be much safer then Afghanistan. Please just pray for strength and understanding for us. I will update when I can.
