Craziness!

There is never a dull moment at our house. Today, I was finishing my midterm and my puppy was laying next to me. All of a sudden she starts acting like she was going throw up. I pushed her off onto the tile. I  heard a loud bang hit the tile. I couldn't figure out what in the heck she just threw up. I then realized it was a rock. Not a small rock, but a half dollar sized rock!

On to craziness number two.... We had just gotten bath done and were trying to unwind for the night. G kept walking into the dining room where we keep the dog dishes. I had just fed them and he was fascinated with what they were doing. He came riding on his little car with a mouthful of food. I quickly realized it wasn't his goldfish, but a mouth full of dog food. I did have that moment where I wanted to take a picture, but instead I fished the pieces out of his mouth and screamed. Oh what a day!!!!!!

Plugging Away

This week has completely gotten away from me. I can't honestly tell you what day of the week it is. Brady has been at Bible School and Keegan has been everywhere. He turned 13 this week. Crazy to think he is a teenager and all that will come in the next few years. G started walking today! Finally! We were at the doctors office getting his ears checked and I guess he decided it was time. He was showing off for all the people in the waiting room and then walked around the house. He looks like ET when he walks. I had a sad moment realizing he is a big boy now. No more little baby. We are all just plugging away, and rumor is the light isn't to far away from the end of this long year. It does make me happy to think that in a few months this could all behind us. It seems a little unreal, because deployments never get cut short. So, I will believe it when I see it. Other then that, school is going great. I got an A on my first paper and a B on my second. I was a bit hard on myself with the B after starting with an A, but I convinced myself it was still good. I am hitting bed a bit early tonight. Not getting enough sleep for sure.

Week 1

One week down! It has been chaotic and my stress level was very high. AJ made it safe and we have been able to communicate in some form everyday. The boys have been acting out and not listening. 3 more days of school, then they are all home ! I am not going to lie I am excited about the more lazy days of summer and having more hands for G.
G has been sleeping awesome. I have been letting him fall asleep on his own for naps and night. He has been sleeping 10 hours at night. Still up between 5:30 and 6! It is a good thing I am a morning person.
The boys have started baseball. I am headed to sit in this glorious 90 degree weather!
School is going good. I have finished my first paper. It has definitely been a change of pace and my house reflects that.
We went to our new church again this week and I left feeling amazing. I really think God led us there for a reason. It is so fun to have a group of friends to go with and talk about things with!

Feeling Better

Little man is finally feeling better. You can see from the photos he was back to his normal busy self today. I finally figured out he not only has a sensitivity to milk but also soy. We had him on soy formula after he was sensitive to regular formula and breast milk. I have found soy has helped him with his sleeping and his diapers are back to normal. Crazy the doctor didn't think the formula could be causing any of it and didn't think milk would bother him. Thank God I started pursuing my own options. Finally he is taking good naps and sleeping most of the night. Last night we got 10 hours then an additional 2. He was ready for bed by 615 tonight because we were on the go at nap time. My advice is trust your instincts. Do your research and keep fighting when you know something isn't right.

Our Sweet Boy

Our sweet boy is 1! He has been a blessing to our family and I finally feel complete. I can't imagine how boring our lives were without him. He has been worth the 360 nights of limited sleep. I can't wait to see what this year brings. Love you monkey pants!

Bathtub Turned Ball Pit!

Our little man was getting to big for his inflatable tub. I have been looking for a way to keep him corralled and busy! I bought a pack of 100 balls from Target and filled his old tub for a cheap ball pit! So far it is a hit!

Catching Up

We are down to single digits until AJ is home for his little time off. We are very excited to get to spend some good quality time with him. We have plans to do his birthday early, Graycen's early, and just spend time as a family. Amazing the little things you miss when you can't do it together. We originally had plans to go away for a few days with the boys, but now that G is finally sleeping better. We are leaning towards sticking at home. I am sure AJ would much rather sleep in his own bed for as long as he can.

It is starting to look like Spring around here. I saw a tulip popping up and some dandelions in my yard. I never thought I would be excited to see weeds! We will enjoy 55 degrees today! Hoping for a walk outside.

Working out is going well. I have been going to the pool 3 times a week, and trying to lift weights at home and do some other type of cardio, whether it be cleaning, elliptical, etc on the days I don't go. I am seeing differences in my inches and the pounds are starting to come off! I was able to get rid of a few of my bigger jeans and found some sweaters in my tubs that I can now wear. I can't wait to show AJ, my baby roll is finally going away.

The other day while in Target, I realized that Graycen has now almost had all of his 1st holidays. The last one is St. Patrick's Day. He has now been around almost a whole year. Wow... has this year gone by fast! We have also almost been in our house a full year. I can't believe that either! I still feel like I am figuring out where everything is and still have things to organize!

Well, off to take the boys to school. Graycen has an eye appointment. Last time they were flagging him for glasses. I am just sick by this. I can't imagine having to deal with glasses with him, and his eyes are so gorgeous. I just can't see how he can't see. He is a wild man!

Moving Forward

I have done more research and through my husband's post 9/11 GI Bill, I can attend masters for almost free, and get a monthly house allowance. I got on to change it to my name, when I had this sudden feeling of guilt. It can also be transferred to our kids, but how do you decide which kid and will it even be there for them when they are ready? I have talked to several other spouses, and they all thought about the same thing. We agreed that we have sacrificed a lot. It is wonderful that this benefit can be transferred to us, and we are silly for not using it. I started my application yesterday. I have to write my statement of purpose this weekend. I am honestly very excited about this opportunity!

G went to the chiropractor for his second appointment today. He slept great the first two nights, the third night was rough, and last night he was up once and then ready to go at 5:15. We will see what tonight brings. He had a great morning nap before his appointment, but then dozed in the car this afternoon. That is all I got so far. He started our day by sharing our puggle's food with him. I wanted to grab my camera so bad, but then realized he had a mouthful and both hands were full. Hard not to laugh...but yuck!

A Day With My Monkey

Graycen was a hoot today. I couldn't help but snap photos of him today. He also is sporting a wristband to support his Dad!

My Little Comedian

I thank God everyday for this little guy. He sure knows when I need a smile. We took him to the chiropractor yesterday. I have never been, so I was skeptical. He looked at him and immediately felt a misalignment. He said he wanted to start treatment and see him twice a week for four weeks. Last night he sleepy from 7 to 4. No fighting it! It was scary to watch but I think we have it figured out. Fingers crossed for tonight!

10 Months Old

I can't believe how fast the last 10 months have gone. We have been blessed with a perfect boy. I can't imagine not having him. He certainly has completed our family. At 10 months he is almost completely on sippy cups, all table food, and has 7 teeth. He walks along furniture, cabinets, and walls. He still doesn't care for crawling. He has a bunch of words. Hi, Dada, Pop, Keegan ( uses for both brothers), ball, all, done, more, bye, Mama. He has started to put words together. My favorites.. " Hi there., Hi Da, All done."

What A Day!

I decided to let the picture from the day tell the story. I have sent all of these to AJ and think he finally gets it! Every drawer is taped and every major cabinet locked!

Best Friends

I was so excited that my camera was right next to me during this moment. It was so sweet how they interacted and how they were both trying to figure out how to get out the door! I think I am going to be in trouble once G really starts walking on his own!

G Playing With Da

We got this Daddy Doll for your middle child last deployment. Graycen was playing and talking to him yesterday. It was precious! I thought I wanted to order a smaller one, but it was cute watching it stand up next to him and him trying to carry it.

Testing

Yesterday morning just started out awful. Graycen was up all night, tossing and turning. I decided to take him to the doctor. I didn't suspect it was an ear infection, because he had no other symptoms. Turns out I was right, no ear infection... nothing else wrong. Ugh. Still no explanation for not sleeping. I decided to turn to a Chiropractor friend. He is going to take a look at him. After 10 months, I am looking for answers.

The day turned around. My sitter and friend took G. I got to take a nap, clean up my house, and do a bit of reading. It was just what I needed. The water heater that has been giving me trouble, started working again and I avoided a $60.00 service fee. I am thinking God heard my prayer yesterday morning. I thanked him for testing me, but I really needed a break! AJ must have known that I needed him. I got several texts, a phone call, and even an E-mail. I felt spoiled! Amazing how we take for granted those little things when they are home.

We love our Daddy Doll! This one was Brayden's. I've been waiting to get a current picture and a voice recorder for G. I also realized he could use the smaller one. They are a must for any military child! www.daddydolls.com is their site!
